Rev Jim Hill is a regular visitor to the school and leads the act of collective worship with the children once a week, normally on Friday mornings. The staff lead on other days. A variety of spiritual and biblical themes are explored. Children become familiar with the church calendar, taking in Lent and Pentecost and including celebrations of local and other saints. Services are held in All Saints’ Church, Kingsdon at Christmas, Easter, Ascension and Harvest and at the end of term. The services are well attended by parents and friends and the children participate in preparing and presenting the worship. There is a positive Christian ethos in the school which is well promoted by the staff, and the children have a good grasp of the Christian tradition and its application to their lives |
